I'm Allison. Lover of Jesus, Disney season pass holder, and monogrammer of all things.
First and foremost, thank you so much for checking out my page! I am beyond excited to share my experiences and very thankful for everyone who has been following my journey thus far. This blog is about my life, my travels, lessons learned, laughs shared, and adventures of making my way in the Big City. My hope is that this blog encourages you and inspires others to dream as big as me.
And so let's begin... xoxo
Wow it’s already October, my favorite time of year. It’s the start of my birthday month, pumpkin spice everything, and Hocus Pocus nights. I like to consider myself a chai, apple, pumpkin, mulled cider enthusiast, so needless to say, I am very excited for all the festivities to begin. While I am thrilled to currently be in San Antonio, Texas, and living in New Mexico and California for the rest of the year, I won’t be experiencing much of that crisp autumn air and leaf-changing magic. Two travel dates are coming up with all the Halloween spookies and cold weather (details coming soon), but until then, here is a look back at my fall adventure last year in Michigan.
Grand Rapids was my second Michigan stop on tour. We played East Lansing in the fall of 2016, and I fell in love with the wide open space, cherry pie, and colorful foliage.
This is right behind the DeVos Performing Arts Center on the riverwalk.
One of my best gals, Catherine, and I found this precious pumpkin patch called Robinette’s just outside of Grand Rapids.
We absolutely loved the corn mazes, the apple trees, and the hay rides.
Look at this cute Apple Haus.
The apple cider doughnuts were so so good.
This was the beginning of our friendship. And we accidentally matched with plaid. Not much has changed.
Catherine taught a class at the University of Michigan, so we headed over to Ann Arbor for the day.
Our first stop was the famous Zingerman’s Deli for lunch.
My friend Matt and I babysat Catherine’s
child dog Ari while Catherine was at the college.
This was my first play date with Ari. I think I had more fun than he did.
S’mores bar and brown sugar lattes at Lab Cafe.
Our dear family friend, Rebecca, is from Holland, Michigan. I was close to the city while I lived in Grand Rapids, so I drove over one morning to see her hometown.
It’s a precious Dutch town with this gorgeous windmill.
Who doesn’t like Paddle Pops at 10am?!
The downtown is so quaint, with lots of little boutiques and shops.
Thanks for following along! Can’t wait to share all of the upcoming fall festivities this year.
